Project 6: Photoshop Edits

HDR

I took this photo of a bridge downtown on the river front. I really like how all of the colors and values look exactly how I saw the detail in the water reflections and the bridge. I edited this photo by using the HDR technique and then adjusted the saturation/brightness.

Multiple Exposure
I took this photo of the crane downtown, I made sure to capture it in motion. For the editing, I used the multiple exposure technique and then really experimented with the curves, saturation, selective color (overall tint in the fiery feeling). I wanted an overall ominous mood.

Panorama
For this photo, I used the panorama technique. I then edited it by desaturating the whole picture, adjusting the levels (seeking value), and lastly adding a purplish tint. Seeking to add an overall mood reflecting a cloudy winter day.

Extras
Here is another multiple exposure, because I really liked how the effect turned out. I took these photos at the water front, one of the Hawthorne bridge with its reflection, and of a seagull on top of a post with the river reflection also in the background. Once these two photos were layered together, it created an eery, mysterious feeling. Almost ghostly, which I really like. I edited the saturation, brightness/contrast, and exposure.
I actually used the HDR technique, but purposely chose two different photos, so it's a different kind of multiple exposure. I really like how the picture of the city is apparent, and the blank sky is filled with a grunge texture of the tree eaves I took from another photograph. I then edited the picture by using the b&w effect, curves, then added a faint greenish tint.
